“Jellyfish” Tank - A Blue Paradox Teaser

Jelly….fish? In open water, plastic bags and jellyfish look nearly identical to the animals that eat them, causing harm to the animals and ultimately entering the food chain that leads to right to us.

This installation captures how easy it is to mistake plastic for jellyfish, enticing guests to learn more at our The Blue Paradox exhibit.

The installation itself was inspired by a similar piece at Parque Explora, Medellin, Colombia. I steered the messaging and imaging of our installation to reflect how our world and the ocean world are intimately connected - a key thread throughout The Blue Paradox.
