Water is Life is a science-art exhibit that precedes the entry to The Blue Paradox. The space offers guests an opportunity to rest, to reflect, and to experience an essential part of all life – water.

Supergraphics on the North, South, and West walls reflect the immensity and power of water. “Water Is Life” decorates the North wall, the scale of the letters reflecting water’s importance to life – ours and every other living thing on the Earth.

One hundred droplets line the South wall.

Ninety-seven are light blue.

Three are white.

These distinct three droplets represent the freshwater on our ocean planet. This piece reveals that water is everywhere and, simultaneously, nowhere.

On the West wall, a word cloud covers the entire wall, displaying all the forms water takes – drop, mist, ocean, ice, and more.

Water’s magic - how it makes life possible - comes from its shapeshifting nature. Water vapor transforms to clouds transforms to the patter of rain. Within each word lives a different embodiment of water and way for guests to connect to this life-making resource.
