I tell stories to capture the breadth of human experience. Below is a series of exhibit experiences that strive to make science a more inclusive endeavor.
In this touchscreen-based experience, guests explore personal stories of struggles with mental health and illness.
The use of personal story, complete with pictures and personal quotes, engages empathy and compassion. Within each story, animations show the biological basis of mental health and illness, further promoting empathy.
The experience opened in December 2019.
Seeing Inside
Geared primarily toward 7-10 year-olds, the experience is modeled after a Buzzfeed-style quiz. The survey invites these young guests to embark on a journey of self-discovery to find that their activities, their likes and dislikes, and their emotional responses are part of who they are and who they could become.
